First Time Buyers Grant
A grant of £3,000 is payable for new houses (including flats and maisonettes) where the following conditions apply:- The property is new.
- The floor area of the property does not exceed 125sq metres.
- The house must be built by a contractor who is registered for VAT and holds a current Form C2 or tax clearance certificate from the Revenue Commissioners.
- An application form HA1/93 (Application for a new house grant) and NH2B Parts 1 & 2 (Inspector of taxes certificate) must be completed by the purchaser/s. (both forms available from Dept of Environment).
- The purchaser and/or spouse, either individually or jointly, must not previously have purchased or built another house in Ireland or abroad for their own occupation.
- The house on completion must be the applicants normal place of residence.
